As the printing requirements for each segment is different, Epson have created separate product lines to cater to your business needs.
CAD, Engineering & GIS A0 / A1 Printer Models
Epson T-Series: CAD Printer / GIS Printer / Graphics Printer:
These Large format printers offer high quality output at resolutions of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. They are 4 or 6 colour machines and use Epson’s UltraChrome XD Pigment inks which give vibrant colours and are smudge and water resistant.
The ink tanks come in high capacity 350ml and 700ml sizes so as to offer you a low cost per print. A single 350ml ink tank will have a yield of 292 A0 CAD drawings. The Epson Wide Format Printer also has 4GB RAM to allow for fast image processing and optional postscript support is available to help process large data files.
Print speeds of 28sec/A1 or 56sec/A0 allow for high speed printing and higher productivity with the latest higher end models having print speeds of up to 2m/min (for Autocad Drawings).
Additionally, you can choose between an A2 printer, A1 printer, A0 printer (36 Inch Plotter) or the A0+ printer (44 Inch plotter) model.
Wide Format Plotter With Scanner
Two of our best selling plotter printer models from Epson are the SureColor SC-T5405 and SureColor SC-T5400M MFP models. The SC-T5405 is a 36 inch plotter or A0 size plotter which offers a print resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi and a print speed of 44sec for an A0 CAD print. This plotter printer has been designed to handle print volumes of up to 2,000 A0 size CAD drawings per month and offers a low cost per print with its high capacity 350ml ink cartridges. The model comes standard with and 1 year service contract – AMC and 2 years warranty (which also covers the printhead).
Our best selling A0 Plotter with scanner or Multifunction Plotter is the Epson SureColor SC-T5400M MFP. In addition to all the features of the T5405 it boasts a scan speed of 7.5″/s B&W and 4.5″/s Colour with a scan resolution of up to 600 x 600 dpi. Scan to e-mail, Shared Folder, PC are all standard features which we configure for our clients during the installation. The T5400M MFP offers both Ethernet 1000 Base-T as well as WiFi connectivity. Last but not least, the 36 Inch plotter machine has 1GB RAM for fast file processing.
A0 / A1 Printer Options
For printing, copying and scanning functionality Epson have several multifunction large format printer models for low, medium and high work volumes. Thus we are able to cater to small startup businesses as well as large offices, contractors, commercial printers and copy shops. Many of our clients from the Contracting and Engineering Consultant field also ask us about an A1 printer or an A1 printer with scanner. For this we have the Epson SC-T3100 and Epson SC-T3100M MFP (which is the multifunction version). These are both compact models measuring 97.0 x 69.6 x 23 cm (W x D x H) and 97.0 x 50.5 x 29.2 cm (W x D x H) respectively and can easily be placed on the table as you can see in the image below.
Being a 24 Inch Plotter, each model allows you to print on A1, A2, A3 and A4 size media. Print resolution is 2,400 x 1,200 dpi and both models have built in Ethernet as well as WiFi connectivity. Print speed is 34sec / A1 CAD drawing and only 17sec / A2 CAD drawing. 1GB Ram is built in for fast file processing and each machine has a 10.2″ Touchscreen. For the T3100M MFP model, scan speed is 1.5 Inches per second for both Color and B&W while the max scan resolution is 600 x 600 dpi.
Note: The Epson T3100 comes with a stand which we can install or leave in the box if you prefer. The Epson T3100M MFP model however doesn’t have a stand but it is an optional accessory.
Large Format Printer for Photo, Fine Art & Proofing
Epson P-Series: Photo Printer / Fine Arts Printer / Proofing Printer:
These Professional Photo Printer machines produce the highest print quality there is and have been especially designed for professional photographers and fine arts producers. The Large Format Printer models in the Epson P-Series have up to 12 colour inks which include green, orange and violet to offer you impressive colour accuracy and 99% pantone coverage. Print resolutions for the various models start at 2,400 x 1,200dpi and reach up to 5,760 x 1,440dpi. Similar to the other Wide Format Printer models, the P-Series also have 350ml and 700ml ink tanks. For fast image processing these devices have up to 2GB Ram and optional postscript support. However it is advisable to use dedicated RIP software with such high end printers. With the P-Series, you can print on a wide range of media such as photo paper, vinyl, fine art cotton, proofing paper, adhesive paper, canvas and posterboard (1,130g/m2). A leading imaging research company, Wilhelm Imaging has conducted various “Print Permanence” tests on these large format printers and the results showed that colour prints will last upwards of 60 years on “Epson Cold Press Natural Paper” and upwards of 200 years on Media such as the “Epson Exhibition Canvas Stain”. For Black and White prints the figures exceeded 400 years on most media.
