To begin with, I would like to discuss the mid level Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C879RDTWFC or more commonly known as the Epson WF-C879R (a very popular business inkjet printer). This is a 25 ppm A3/A4 colour photocopier with Print, Scan, Copy and Fax functionality. It can scan documents at a speed of 100ipm and has ethernet as well as wireless network connectivity as a standard feature. This heavy duty copier machine is designed to handle an average of 2,000 – 10,000 prints per month and is ideal for a small office or a medium sized department.
The standard XL Ink for this big printer offers a yield of 20,000 Pages for Black and 20,000 pages for each color while the double XXL ink has a whopping yield of 86,000 Pages for Black and 50,000 pages for each color. Business Inkjet Printer
Some of the latest and most successful models introduced by Epson are the AM-C Series which come in 3 business inkjet printer models:
- AM-C4000 40 ppm Printer
- AM-C5000 50 ppm Printer
- AM-C6000 60 ppm Printer
They all offer a Print resolution of 600 x 2,400 dpi along with a scan speed of 120ipm. Each photocopy machine has 8 GB RAM along with a 320 GB HDD for quick document storage. The user Interface has been vastly improved over previous models making it much more user friendly and each unit is fitted with a huge 25.7cm touchscreen. Duplex printing, copying, scanning is of course a standard feature with each printer and photocopier benefitting from single pass duplex scan functionality. Scan to email, FTP, USB, Server etc are also built in.
Duty cycles for these commercial printer models range from 5,000 pints per month and up to 60,000 prints thus enabling them to handle huge departmental workloads. Each copier machine also comes with 4 x 500 sheet paper trays in standard configuration while allowing you to print on thick media up to 300gsm. Lastly, the ink capacity for this big printer is 50,000 pages for Black and 30,000 pages for each Colour.

Photocopy Machine
On the higher end of the scale we have the Epson Workforce Enterprise range of machines which are also considered to be in the category of production printers. There are several models in this category, namely the WF-C20750 (75 ppm printer – Colour), WF-M21000 (100 ppm printer – B&W) and the flagship WF-C21000 (100 ppm printer – Colour).

They come standard with 4 paper trays, wireless connectivity and are designed to handle an average of 8,000 – 50,000 prints per month. The scan speed of these machines is 110ipm thanks to the single pass duplex scanning feature. Optional accessories include the staple finisher, paper deck and the booklet finisher. These printer and scanner models can also print on thick 350g/m2 paper. Ink Capacity for each photocopy machine is 100,000 pages for Black (2 x 50,000 page Cartridge) and 50,000 pages as well for each color.
